My favorite thing about being a DJ is creating the mood and getting people onto the dance floor. I have been obsessed with music ever since I got my first record player at age 6. Right after college graduation, I trained with a local DJ company and did corporate events, schools, and weddings. I was also a tour guide at the San Diego Zoo for 6 years and grew comfortable on a microphone in front of hundreds of people on a daily basis.
I have developed a niche as a country DJ from my extensive experience with country western hoedowns, but am happy to play whatever you want, including hip hop, rock, pop, ethnic music, and more.
I am grateful for all my clients who have gone against the grain and hired a female DJ. I believe that female DJs are super cool and can really rock! I can do everything a guy can do except heavy lifting, so my husband Keith helps me set up and tear down gigs. Sometimes he even fills in as the bartender!
A Texas native, the talented "Queen of Zydeco Line Dancing" has been teaching line dancing for over twenty years. Although Lori loves Zydeco and R&B, she also enjoys country music and country line dancing. She is especially talented at being an MC and getting people onto the dance floor at country western hoedowns and other events. Lori coaches her own team called the "L" Train and teaches weekly line dance classes.
