Liza Marians

My favorite thing about being a DJ is creating the mood and getting people onto the dance floor.  I have been obsessed with music for as long as I can remember.  I love the way music makes you feel and uplifts your spirits. I don't know what I'd do without it!

Right after college graduation in 2000, I took a solo trip to Europe and had an epiphany that I wanted to be a DJ. Upon return to the US, I interned with a local DJ company and did corporate events, schools, and weddings. I enjoyed my internship, but decided to shift my focus to teaching dance because the equipment was much heavier and bulkier back then; we were still using CDs! Plus I love dance too and wanted to hone that skill.

Then, in 2015, I was asked to DJ a country western hoedown. This was my fresh new start as a DJ! Over the last 11 years I've been DJ'ing an average of 20 DJ & line dance gigs per year. I continue to teach dance but love switching it up with DJ gigs. I put my heart and soul into each gig and feel blessed to be able to do what I love. I am grateful for all my clients who have gone against the grain and hired a female DJ.  I believe that female DJs are super cool and can really rock! 

Brenda is always smiling! She's a happy, fun-loving, and outgoing DJ and line dance instructor who started working at Country DJ events in January 2025. 

Brenda aims to please, is always willing to be helpful, and pays close attention to detail.  

Brenda and Liza go way back! They met several years ago at a dance convention and became instant friends. In 2025, they performed on a country dance team together.  

When she's not working, you can often find Brenda at country dance hall saloons throughout southern California such as The Stampede where her boyfriend Bert often teaches.
